he Chinese submersible Fendouzhe (which translates to "Striver") is capable of diving to depths of 10,000 meters or more. It represents a major advancement in deep-sea exploration technology and is one of the few manned submersibles globally that can reach such depths. During its development and sea trials, Fendouzhe achieved successful operations on the seabed at full ocean depth, including retrieving samples from 10,000 meters below the surface.

The submersible features advanced acoustic systems for real-time communication with its support vessel, Exploration-I, enabling the transmission of text, voice, and images from extreme depths. Its sophisticated navigation and sonar systems provide high precision for underwater positioning and operations, further demonstrating its technological achievements.

The U.S. does not currently have a submersible in its arsenal comparable to China's Fendouzhe, capable of diving beyond 10,000 meters. The most advanced U.S. submersibles, such as the HOV Alvin, operated by the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI), are rated for depths of up to 6,500 meters. This depth capability is substantial for scientific exploration but does not match the extreme depths reached by China's deep-sea vehicles.


The U.S. Navy and Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) also utilize Dry Combat Submersibles like the S351 Nemesis for military operations. However, these submersibles are primarily designed for shallow-depth missions, around 100 meters, focusing on stealth, mobility, and coastal operations. They lack the extreme depth capabilities of scientific submersibles.

The U.S. has demonstrated innovation in underwater technology, including cutting-edge autonomous and remotely operated vehicles, its capabilities are not currently targeted at competing with ultra-deep-diving vehicles like China's Fendouzhe.
