Those who have been paying attention—both online and offline—since the early Facebook days of so-called sonic booms might find themselves agreeing with a growing number of modern researchers. These thinkers insist that there is, quite literally, an ongoing galactic war taking place right above our heads—unseen, unacknowledged, and yet directly tied to the fate or destiny of the human species.

Many self-proclaimed anthropologists or “humanists,” who believe they already possess a comprehensive understanding of what it means to be human, will likely disagree. But the position is entirely logical. It aligns, in fact, with the ancient narrative attributed to Enlil—who, according to Sumerian tradition, viewed humanity as a resource species. Some say that resource was gold in the literal sense; others interpret it metaphorically. Either way, the implication remains: humanity was created as a laboring or servant species, regardless of the romantic or religious coatings added over time.

This idea is echoed across several so-called holy scriptures—from the Bible to the Qur’an. Yes, we are told we have free will, but only within limits… and as for those limits—well, your guess is as good as mine.

Enlil appears, in myth, as a no-nonsense enforcer—one who regretted Enki’s rebellion. Enki, remember, was the one who “upgraded” the original species of this planet, the primordial primates, into us—a step beyond what was required. This is difficult for many modern scholars to recognize, perhaps because education itself has become fragmented, and maybe even intentionally disrupted.

It becomes even more apparent when you talk to people from both camps. Speak to an average scientist—many won’t have heard the word Anunnaki. Speak to a so-called spiritualist, and they’ll likely laugh if you mention the transactional interpretation of quantum physics or the story of Enki sending “beings” - Enki created artificial beings—the gala-tura and kur-jara—to rescue the goddess Inanna from the underworld. 

Some modern interpreters even describe these entities as ancient depictions of androids or early artificial intelligences. That such concepts existed thousands of years ago is beyond most people’s imagination.

You see the issue: science and spirituality are not feeding each other, not collaborating, not recreating the so-called miracles recorded in their ancient texts.

And so, the story goes—Enlil, Yahweh, Jah, God, whoever you wish to name—was angered in Eden when humanity was “upgraded” beyond its intended limits. The myth of Adam and Eve—the nudist camp, the talking serpent, and the mysterious, possibly bio-engineered apple—is a parable of defiance. And the one who was enraged by that act has never stopped seeking to return humanity to its original slave design—through floods, famine, manipulation of food, or, more recently, through microplastics that may act as literal gateways. (Those who understand the pataphysical hint will recognize what that means; the rest will keep scrolling YouTube, wondering whether the global 24-hour “booms” are fireworks from the U.S. Army, or NASA satellites falling out of Uranus.)

The question remains, then—why should this species survive?
If, as Thoth hinted in the old scrolls, the fire must come again, perhaps humanity itself is the abomination that must be purified by it.
