Citizenship and visas should require civic oaths, language proficiency, and explicit rejection of supremacist ideologies. Denmark’s model—strict yet fair—shows that demanding integration can prevent the rise of parallel societies without resorting to mass expulsions.

2. Free Speech With Guardrails
Freedom of expression must remain absolute for ideas, but not for incitement to violence. Mockery of all beliefs—religious or nationalistic—must be protected equally. Popper’s solution applies here: suppress the intolerant only when they organize to destroy openness itself. That means banning foreign-funded extremism, not censoring dissent.

3. Channeling Energy, Not Fear
Migrant communities have enriched the West through patents, entrepreneurship, and cultural dynamism. Governments should expand programs that redirect alienation toward shared prosperity—while investing in deradicalization and civic mentorship for at-risk youth.

The Courage to Defend Liberalism

Liberalism thrives on debate, not denial. To preserve it, we must confront subversion honestly and unapologetically—without retreating at every cry of “offense.”

This is the paradox Popper foresaw: tolerance for the tolerant, steel for the rest. The free world cannot afford to flinch. If we fail to act with conviction, the West risks becoming the very cage its people once fled.
