“With Technology, Human Beings Are Extraordinarily Intelligent Monkeys With Butter” By General Nobunaga [ Prince of Orion, disguised as a very handsome dude ]
| Give a monkey a banana — it knows exactly what to do. Give a monkey butter — it smears it on its butt because it feels nice, soothing and cool. |
You wake up charged — a clean internal current, a quiet hum of strength. Then you open Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, X, whatever the primates are using today. Within minutes, your chest feels hollow, your mood collapses, and your energy — the real metaphysical voltage — is gone.
Where did it go?
From a quantum‑metaphysical perspective, attention is a vector, and energy follows vectors. The moment you look at something, you feed it. Social networks are not neutral platforms; they are extraction engines. They harvest human focus the way turbines harvest wind. Every headline about Trump, every conflict update, every outrage clip — these are hooks. They don’t inform you; they drain you.
We think we’re “checking what’s happening in the world.” But what we’re really doing is eating other people’s psychic waste.
This is where my analogy becomes perfect.
The Monkey & the Butter
Give a monkey a banana — it knows exactly what to do. Give a monkey butter — it smears it on its butt because it feels cool.
Humanity is the same.
Technology is our butter. We don’t understand it. We don’t know how to use it without harming ourselves.
Every major invention — electricity, fluorescent lighting, industrial medicine, plastics, filtration systems, social media — comes with side effects we never anticipated. We rub the butter on our metaphysical backside and call it “progress.”
Social networks are the clearest example: Tools meant for connection became tools for psychic depletion.
The Social Network Vampire
When you open your feed, you’re not “getting information.” You’re plugging your nervous system into a global emotional sewer.
Your energy doesn’t disappear — it is redirected.
It flows into:
outrage cycles
political noise
conflict narratives
algorithmic amplifiers
corporate attention markets
In metaphysical terms, your energy is siphoned into entities and systems that thrive on human agitation. Not demons — just machinery built by a species that still behaves like a monkey with butter.
Why the Gods Don’t Intervene
If there are higher intelligences watching us, they probably see the same thing I saw in an Indian dream‑village:
A species capable of building rockets to Mars but still spiritually flinging dung.
A species that invents miracles and uses them to wound itself.
A species that understands bananas but not butter.
This is why evolution feels slow. This is why the “gods” — or whatever higher order exists — hesitate.
We are not yet a species that can handle its own tools.
The Point is
The/ our morning energy didn’t vanish. It was taken — by the architecture of human attention.
Energy goes where attention goes. And right now, humanity is pointing its attention at noise, conflict, outrage, and fear.
The monkey is still smearing butter on its butt.
