Inability to Balance Knowledge and Wisdom

While humanity has achieved remarkable advancements in science and technology, these are often applied with limited foresight or responsibility. For instance, technological innovations often outpace the development of ethical frameworks, resulting in unintended harm to both people and the planet.

Cultural Insularity and Misunderstanding

The "confusion" experienced in humanity's frequent inability to appreciate or respect cultural diversity will obviously extend to extraterrestrial environments or hypothetical alien civilizations.

Environmental irresponsibility 

This is a critical barrier to humanity's readiness.

 Earth's ecosystems have suffered extensively under human stewardship, with deforestation, pollution, climate change, and biodiversity loss being stark reminders of our inability to manage resources sustainably.

We cannot even care for our home planet, we will obviously approach other celestial bodies with the necessary disrespect and ''making it'' , ''getting paid'' glamourised primates behavioral pattern.
